I look. Sure enough the unmistakable figure of Robbie Coltrane is walking out of the hotel, and down the street.

'He looks much smaller in real life'
I explain that this is, sadly, often true of actors.
'No, I mean, he looks a lot bigger when he's in the Harry Potter films'

'That could be because he's playing a giant!'
